Judy Norman ~ Artist
Judy Norman is the owner/artist of Decorative Illusions in Atlanta, Georgia. Judy has studied extensively to perfect her craft since beginning her decorative arts career in 2002. She studied with Martin Alan Hirsch of Decorative Finishes Studio in Louisville, KY; Gary Lord of Prismatic Studios; Deb Drager, Mike MacNeil, Cait Whitson, and Krista Vind.
Decorative Illusions is a decorative arts company offering top quality finishes for smaller items such as ceiling medallions, mirror and picture frames, fire place mantels and surrounds, vanities and objects de art. She no longer offers wall or ceiling finishes but still enjoys finishing smaller objects, teaching Caromal Colours, and creating custom canvas art.
Judy also creates custom canvas art for interior designers, architects, residential and commercial clients. Canvases are designed to enhance the client’s space with texture and colors to complement the decor. Her canvas art is created by utilizing faux finish materials exclusively.
Judy has been named Regional Director for Caromal Colours in Atlanta, GA. She is currently teaching homeowners the incredible Caromal Colours line of decorative finishes at the Monroe Art Guild. Caromal Colours is designed specifically for those who enjoy Do It Yourself projects. Want a French Country, shabby chic, distressed, or antiqued look to your furniture, cabinetry? Caromal Colours has an easy to use water based system that is makes transforming your old furniture/cabinetry a snap. No prep, No sanding, No priming…NO Kidding!!! Men and women alike are really enjoying these classes. She offers distressing, barnworn, gilding, perfect plaster, glazing, stenciling, in your own words custom single use custom stencils to complete the Caromol Colours line of decorative finishes.
